Retrace The Lines are a six-piece modern metal band from Valencia, Spain, independent since 2010. Five releases, more than 75 shows across Europe and Asia and a slot at Hellfest Le Off 2026 have made them one of the sharpest live acts in the Spanish scene. New single PAIN is out now with its own video; the concept EP Project: Anomaly follows, produced, mixed and mastered by Christoph Wieczorek (Electric Callboy, Annisokay, Novelists).

The long version

Retrace The Lines formed in Valencia in 2010 and have done everything the hard way since: booking, recording, filming and designing their own world, with no label behind them. Six members, five releases and more than 75 shows later, the live show is still the argument. Precise, melodic and heavy enough to leave a mark.

The road took them well beyond Spain early on. In 2017 the band crossed China and Japan on a 13-date run. At home they built Retrace The Fest, their own festival in Valencia, now two editions in. In June 2026 they played Hellfest Le Off in Clisson, France.

Dopamine (2025) was the turning point: more than 120,000 streams on Spotify and a video that travelled far beyond the Spanish scene. PAIN, out now, opens the next chapter: Project: Anomaly, a concept EP produced, mixed and mastered by Christoph Wieczorek at Sawdust Recordings, whose credits include Electric Callboy, Annisokay, Novelists and Future Palace. Release date to be announced.
